April Lockhart

April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th day of July, began taking piano and guitar lessons from age seven. She was interested in creating songs was sparked. April's very first song was called Different. She wrote it at 12 years of age. The singer spent much of her time when she was 14 writing songs and practicing music. Soon, April began going across NY and LA with her Dad to help them to write songs. The month also saw her include additional topics that were related to of her friends dealing in the area of bullying by peers and teens who commit suicide through the songs"Take my Hand. Lockhart has her own fan base and is an online lifestyle blogger for the renowned Ilia clean beauty brand. She was born without her left hand and that is part of who she is--but it's hardly her whole story. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook the fact that she has a disability. However, it doesn't emphasize it. The point? The message? That we have many different aspects, that our physical and identity selves are not all that they seem. Lockhart stated in a video interview that she does not want to be defined solely by her physical disability. She does not want to become an advocate for disabled people who only talks about that. There are a lot of aspects of Lockhart. However, it doesn't affect my day-to-day routine. I still do all my normal activities and have adjusted to my disability. However, I also consider it a very important aspect of me. Lockhart has been a great inspiration to her fellow women with regards to self-acceptance. Still, she acknowledges going through periods of feeling insecure about her body, and also feeling uncomfortable wearing some clothing types which showed her arms. The woman now puts on whatever clothes she wants and posts pictures on her Facebook page with pride. It's a journey is what I'm not certain that will ever be the end of self-love. That's true of everyone regardless of their insecurity. It is important to have people in your life who know and can relate to the way you feel. They'll be the ones who ask what you fret about?
