Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to be awarded a perfect score of 10 points in an Olympic event. Bela Karolyi later Romanian Gymnastics Coach discovered Comaneci when she was just six years old. First competing in the national junior championships in Romania in 1969, she was 13th. Then in the year 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. In her very first international contest in 1972, she took the top spot with three gold medals. At her first competition as a senior, in 1975 she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion, winning 4 gold and one silver medal. The year was 1976 when she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and became the first woman to ever dismount parallel bars using a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager, Carol Wayne began working in the entertainment business as a performer as figure skater. With her twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol's career began in entertainment during her teenage year. She began her career as figure skater, performing alongside her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show named Ice Capades. These shows included the ice skating of which was performed to music from the stage.
